I have had my 5 International sales in the last 4 days. I state clearly in my auctions that I accept Paypal from US buyers only, I CANNOT accept Paypal payments from Canadian or International buyers. I also state this clearly in my reply to them. All 5, 4 from England, one just in from Thailand, all paid by Paypal. What do others of you do in this situation? Do you refund? Last twice I did that I never did get paid. All items are under $50, but I still don't want to be out that money. I just am so frustrated, I don't know how to be more clear that they CANNOT pay with Paypal.

WHY don't you SET YOUR PAYMENT RECEIVING PREFERENCES to BLOCK out non-USA payments?

No way, no how send to Thailand, no matter what sob story they give you, don't give in. The four from England may or may not be a problem- all my Englanders have been fine.
But if you don't want to chance it, type up a nice form letter and tell all of them that you specifically stated you will not take Paypal, but that you will take BIDPAY, and include all the information they need to make Bidpay work.
Unfortunately, there's not much else you can do ;(

I agree with replay, I've never had a problem with the UK and would feel comfortable for under $50, but it is your call as it is your terms. Just accept that when shipping overseas, unless you have a cash payment (like bidpay) that you are taking a risk. It hasn't come back to haunt me yet, and maybe one day it will. I sold a $100 item to a UK bidder a month ago and shipped it with paypal payment, that is probably as high as I would go there with paypal (though typically what I sell is less than that)

Thanks for the help. I have blocked all buyers except US, refunded the Thai payment. Buyer then used Bidpay immediately.

I started a thread just on this subject last month. I really gets me that people don't (can't) read the TOS.
