Check this latest message from eBay:

"Sell these items you bought on eBay - get something new!"

Out of all the books I've purchased over the last year or so on eBay (about 30 or 40, at least), it notes that I bought "Chasing the Dime" by Michael Connelly for $4.55.

It then says that I could re-sell it for a "potential value" of 25 cents to $2.99.

Obviously computer-generated with no human intervention.

That doesn't tick me off nearly as much as their latest message I received this morning.

http://pages.ebay.com/bestoffer/buyer/

Yep, it's official. The bottom feeders have been notified!

Maybe I'm just being senstive because I sell OOAK and can't list 200 auctions a day, but I don't want "offers" on something that just took an hour to list!

Itray,

I can understand the "best offer" bit if it's something big like a car.

I guess it leverages off the concept of ... X dollars "or best offer."

But I think in the overall context of eBay it's just cofusing.
