I have had a dickens of a time paying for some auctions my husband won before he left on his last biz trip. He bought one item from a seller who states in his auction that he won't take PayPal unless by special arrangements. Of course the special arrangement is that he has a personal account and wants cash payment - not a problem. He emails me the email address to use for the payment (not the one he uses for this seller id). I copy and paste it and send money manually and not as an auction payment. A few days later when I signed into ebay I got an unpaid item pop-up! I checked PP and found that the pymt was unclaimed. Finally figured out that the email address was wrong! Seller had said 'my email address is "[email protected]". I guess it was just "[email protected]" GRRRRRRRRRRR.

Emil also won two lots from a Vendio seller. The auctions state that seller takes PayPal but neither the Vendio checkout (which wouldn't combine items) nor the ebay checkout would let me pay through PayPal. Seller confirmed PayPal was ok. I went into PayPal and tried to pay manually. You used to be able to enter two or more item numbers separated by a comma but every time I tried this PayPal sent a notice "We are experiencing difficulties please try again". I finally just entered one number and referenced the other in the notes and it went through.

AGGRAVATION!! and I am a seasoned PP user!! No wonder I am getting more and more mailed in payments!
