I get so many ebay buyers that write to me after auctions have ended that say, "wah, wah wah! ... I really meant to bid! but couldn't get to my computer by the time your listings were ending (stuck in traffic, blah yada blah). I was gonna offer you a gazillion dollars, (ok i'm only exaggerating a little bit there), so let me know if your high bidder falls through!"
Yeah, these are the same auction items that have a higher number of "watchers" than some of your run-of-the-mill items.

And you grind your teeth and WANT to tell 'em "Well you shoulda put your best damn proxy bid in to begin with" ... argh!

I'm going to put into eBay's suggestion box, that they integrate a snipe-bid option for the buyers to use.

eBay and I are both losing some big money because of these scenarios.

.......... rant - over and out!!!

Also, dump the watch program. It never turns into bids and more often than that, it keeps people from placing a bid.

NO MORE SNIPING, NO MORE SNIPING, NO MORE SNIPING!!!. One can only wish, then maybe we can get some bids and not just lookers and watchers...

At least snipers bid...better than having 120 "watchers" and 0 bids!

There is absolutely no single thing in this world that can provide the thrill that 2 or more snipers can give when they turn a $40.00 high bid which your are resigned to into a $170.00 ending price in the last 4 seconds of an auction.

I agree a simple eBay sniping program would be great. About 75% of my auction end with a snipe bid and I will never understand why a seller would not want these bids.
