roadsmith, thanks, but the only mark is "USA" on them. Thats why I dont have a clue. Thinking it looks like Hall, or HL or ...who else just did USA Marks - some calif. companies????
What type of flowers would you say those are?
Where is Ms. Lucy lately? For some reason I feel she would have a good idea.

yes roads, I was hoping sanmar, max, or sparkz would have some idea. I guess they dont. I may just email replacements or one of those ask the experts things. But I have so much 'stuff' - this is the least of my worries. Just something I found at a GS this weekend and was curious about.

Dbl...I don't recognize the pattern, but the shape, especially the item on the left, reminds me of some restaurantware I had at one time. Problem is, if it were RW, it should have the makers mark on it. It is possible some RW makers may have used the "USA" for a brief period, as many potteries were doing that because of the anti-Asian and European sentiment following WW2. It's late 40's to mid 50's in any event. I would browse the Restaurantware category and see if that particular shape shows up on anything. If it is RW, the pattern may be a special edition for one client and not be widely known or published.

Thanks, sparkz! Thats what I was thinking too, like Homer Laughlin, 40ties 50ties. It's probably not even anything 'sought after' so I'm not gonna jerk myself too much trying to figure it out.
I wish 'somebody' would do a book on just Made in USA China/pottery. ...Thought of buying replacements books at one time, but they're not cheap, and then you'd need all the volumnes.
But thanks!! At least I have some direction with it!

I've spoken with Ms. Lucy and she thinks the flower may be a gazania.

Back in the '40's there were several small pottery cos. that put Made in USA on their goods. Usually these are not too collectible & not worth bothering with. One of these was CA Potteries,

Thanks Sanmar. If I could figure out the name and pattern, there might {might) be somebody looking for pieces to a set? Maybe a one bidder deal. lol! But for now, ,they will go on the back burner! Or maybe I will sell them to another ebay shopper at my garage sale.

Ms. Lucy is just fine, busy, her usual neat self.
Fugger, if you have several dishes in that same pattern, you could list one and put "mystery" in the title--Mystery Plate--and offer 30% discount for anyone who correctly identifies the pattern for you. Just a thought.
