If I sign up for Paypal, can I use the personal account for accepting funds as long as I don't accept credit cards. That is not a problem but how much can I accept monthly? Does anyone have a clue.
thank you,
Missy

Missy: You can only accept $500 on a personal account. I used to have a personal account because a lot of my items are low cost, especially in my store, but when the lowered the receiving amount from $1,000 to $500 I have to upgrade to a business account, so now, I will only take Paypal for payments of $10 (including postage)

I have both a Professional and Personal account.
Three main things about the Personal account.
1. You cannot accept credit card payments.
2. You are limited to $500 per month before they force you into upgrading.
3. You are never covered under the seller protection plan. So if someone decides to reverse the charges for any reason, you are out the cash without recourse.
This is how they get you coming and going.
