I would say it is. It was done during that era and he did do some Modernist design. I think he trained with Spratling and they call his designs Modernist. Be sure if you list it enter all the words printed on the piece with the numbers. I would add he trained under Spratling, but don't clean it. Leave it to your buyer. This is how I listed an unknown piece. I said all the things that were printed on the sterling pin and one name got me $175.00. I started it at $9.99 not knowing what I had. Well I learned quickly. What happened I put it on and a buyer came in and asked if she could have it for $25.00. Well while I was thinking along came another bidder and bid on it so I couldn't do anything thank goodness. I am now a little leary of buyers asking to buy during an auction. Valuable lesson learned. Never end an auction early.

Thanks Libra ! Looks like something Picaso would have done lol...The picture doesn't really do justice. I had to put it away...I was starting to want to keep it for myself. First time I ever wanted to keep a piece.

I must be going blind. I don't see an eagle anywhere on that piece. Is this one of those trick items you have to squint at?!

Roadsmith the silhouette of the eagle is on the right side half way up, you can see the eye. The wings go behind the head of the person. Did that help?
This is why it is modernist.

<Thud> lol I just looked at the page and almost fell out my seat !! Holy Crap , I can't believe how much someone will pay for a signed piece of jewelry . If I had not gotten links and learned so much for you guys and gals I would have never known to put things like Taxco or Modernist in the title or how to even tell it was taxco. A huge Thank You to you all.

I am impressed. Just returned home and had to check it out. There must have been some heavy bidding on both of your items. I couldn't figure out why you didn't have bids on the bracelet and now I know. Everyone sniped.
Congratulations...
