I listed my stuff over an hour ago and more like 2 hrs. Now does anyone know how far behind the back up is? Delay that is. Do hope they are going by pacific time and mine have time to list otherwise I am going to be big time miffed.
& yes they should send out notices of a special listing day sooner than a couple of hours before it begins. Oh pardon me it was 2 hours 50 minutes before midnight my time. Like I can sit up all night take pictures and do listings all night and still work. OH well just had to get that off my chest.
Another thing? if they are delayed in launch does Vendio time stamp them to assure that we get the special price? Just curious.

It does not matter what time AW, er Vendio gets listing, the listing price will be determined by what time eBay gets them, which will probably be a minute after Midnite, eBay time..................

if our auctions are delayed, will we be refunded the difference in listing fees if they get launched after 12?

Irked....As I was posting to you in the other thread, my email flag popped up to let me know my 7:15 listing had gone live. That was at 9:00 which was 1 hr and 45 minutes late. 15 minutes later my 7:30 listing went live. It looks like they may be clearing some of the backlog up. Just one thing to remember, never plan on listing an auction during the hours of 6:30 to 8:30 when Ebay is having a promo. They can't possibly take them all during that window and they will most likely be delayed until after 9:00 pm.

About 3 minutes ago I just launched 8 more, so we'll see how long it takes. The four I had scheduled around 7:00 pm were my fault. I had scheduled them over the weekend and never changed the launch time after the promo was announced. At least, if they all go before midnight, everything will be o.k.

I list nothing after 1PM on sale days. The increased number of auctions reduces the sell through rate dramatically and as can be seen it is impossible to get anythig listed in prime time.

Well, all eight just launched, so it looks like the delay is down to an hour. I would be a little hesitant to launch anything else from this point on. There may be a last minute surge just before midnight. Then again, most of the sellers on the east coast are asleep now. It's a gamble either way you go.

Wow - that listing spike looks more like a FLD!! I launched 900 items yesterday throughout the day. I forgot about the backlog during prime time so I had a couple of hundred backed up - it looks like all made it in by midnight though. Considering the volume, I think Vendio worked pretty well with a few glitches here and there. I don't think they get advance notice of these promotions either.

I JUST ASKED on the ebay forum boards if anyone else had problems with 3rd party software last night
so far NONE!!!
I am still in shock that all that work
was for nothing
If it cant go up by 8:20 pst at the lastest , it isnt worth it for me.
Vendio just isnt upgrading their system and this is something we rely on them to forsee
Last night was unacceptable

Oh yeah? Sounds like the back-up was at ebay - and people had problems listing there too yesterday. I am sure there are more threads about this, I just don't have time to look for them. Tbe launch backlog yesterday was NOT Vendio's fault it was an ebay jam and this happens on every FLD and increasingly on ebay sale listing days too (maybe some of the other issues like accessing the listing form were Vendio's fault, but not the launch backlog):

like I said, list them during the early or late hours when everyone is either at work or sleeping, pay 10 cents more to have them start at the time you want ,shorten or lengthen the number of days to avoid the crowd.
Go figure, the day after free listing day start and the day after all these free listing items end are the best days to get noticed.

I gave up on vendio and went direct through ebay. This service cannot handle large volumes. It's frustrating since we pay for the service, but that's the way it works on high volume days.
