Jack...I have a dual system. Refrigeration and swamp cooler on my house. I changed the pads today in the swamp, and figuered it needed to be replaced. I'll get a new one in about a week. The first time the temp hits the century mark, my old one will head for the swap meet. Should make enough off the old one to pay for half of the new one. Don't forget oscillating fans and ceiling fans either. As the mercury rises, so does the price.

Since I've lived in this house, the $500.00 swamp, which included sheet metal work and stantion construction, has saved me over $5000.00 in Edison bills. Up here, there are only 10 -15 days during the summer where a refrigeration unit is absolutely essential. The rest of the time a swamp works quite well. The trick is, when you buy a new swamp, you do it during a time when Edison is offering an energy saving rebate. When I installed this one, I sent a copy of the invoice to them and got a check for $150.00. Also, if there is a blackout or grid failure, the 3 KW generator I have will keep that sucker going and keep me cool. The neighbors can come in to cool off also. Admission is a six pack. To use the pool in the back yard, it costs a bottle of Jack Daniels.

Jack I have song today if you come back and read this:

Carol King

... lift me, won't you lift me...with every turn around..

When the Jazzman's testifying, a faithless man believes, he can sing you into paradise or bring you to your knees.
It's a gospel kind-a feeling, a touch of Georgia slide, a song of pure revival and a style that sanctified.
... Jazzman, take my blues away. Make my pain the same as yours with every change you play. Jazzman, oh Jazzman.
It's the late
night side of morning in the darkness of his soul.
He can fill a room with sadness as he fills his horn with tears. He can cry like a fallen angel when risin' time is near.
Jazzman, take my blues away. Make my pain the same as yours with every change you play.
Oh, lift me, won't you lift me with every turn around.
Play it
sweetly,
take me down, oh Jazzman..........

.
