I don't know if they're for real; there are threads about them on the forum. I don't personally intend to use them at this time.
However, if you can talk your buyers into a PayPal alternative, talk them into BidPay. $0 fee to you, although there is a $1000 limit on payments per item. IIRC, there's a requirement that the buyer have a Visa card.

if they charge you just one dollar, they are losing money ,so it is just a matter of time they either fold or raise the rate.

Thanks for the link Tom - good job Michael! I just had time to listen to the first part of the interview but I think I have heard enough - sounds like smoke and mirrors to me! Turns out they are just going to process BANK transactions and not credit cards? Anyway, a $1 per transaction is MORE than I usually pay pal so I wouldn't be signing up even IF it sounded like the real deal.

Michael digs out his rack and thumbscrews and the TRUTH really makes da scoundral squeal louder than Ned Beatty in "Deliverance" -- a fun time is quaranteed to all!

Thanks for the kind words....GZ was fun; still is actually. The "Web Rangers" as I like to call 'em (those who have pursued the slime-worts behind GZ) are amazing to behold...relentless, thorough, profane, cynical and tireless..they will not rest until justice is done. And until such time, they will make life hell for the scammers.
Interesting site : www.scam.com .
BTW, I spoke with the folks at Vendio while I was at eBay Live about advertising on the show..They appeared interested. I'll let you know.
I'd love to do some spot where we could hear one another....I'm partial to this board since I've been a customer of Vendio / AW for years. This is home for me, I'm comfortable here...so using Vendio's cast of characters might be a fun way of dealing with many of the "board issues" that pop up.
Please let me know what you think.
Best,
Michael
