There was this great thread on the ebay store community board.

http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?threadID=2000006477&tstart=40&mod=1122326641437

I started one tonight and used this website...it's free.

Thanks Amy. I have been so busy that I haven't had tome to read the store board. Your blog looks great. Let us know how it works out in terms of increased store traffic/ sales etc.. is there a counter? Do you have it set up to feed/ update at the search engines?

You can get free automatic updates at several places thru Pingomatic.

http://pingomatic.com/

They make it as easy as a click of the button.

I haven't seen a place on mine for a counter. Chances are I just haven't bumped into it yet. This is unexplored territory for me.

I can see myself running out of interesting material though come October. When the snow falls we don't get outside as much. We keep pretty busy in the summer. We're going salmon fishing Saturday and hopefully catch enough to get us by the rest of the year.

I thought I would stick with it though at least until the end of October to see if it did bring more traffic in. I'll use my eBay store tracking to see how much activity it sends my way...plus the added advantage of getting the referral credits for any sales.

The people on the store boards have noticed a difference in their sales.

It's a slow time of year for listing - so I thought "why not?" I was able to set it up in one evening.

yes, do let us know. i went and looked at your blog but - other than the link to the Starbucks coffee mug for sale - wasn't sure how it would increase actual sales as opposed to traffic.

Well, I was trying to be subtle about it. I do have a link to my store along the side. I don't have a lot listed right now. I thought as I started getting the auctions going again, in mid-August, I would start pushing products more.

Well I looked up my store traffic report and in only 3 days I've already had 24 store visits from my blog. I don't know if any of these visitors are buying but it's an encouraging start.

May just have been Vendio'ers???
