Doncha love it when they wait until the auction is over with no bidders and then want to give you a lower price and ask to include shipping. This was after she emailed me 4 times with questions and I answered very patiently because I was sure she would bid. annoys the hell out of me.

Definitely bottom feeder syndrome - I just received an offer of $75 for an item in my shop priced at $295. But at least he didn't ask me to include shipping!

Yea, we get those all the time....Funny how they always let you know that they really wanted the item, yet something came up and they couldn't be on their computer to bid. Hmmm...So, how come you never bid in the first place!!!!! They must think we are complete idiots.

If a seller has a warped sense of humor, he could have some fun with some of these bottomfeeders. Maybe even cure a few of them.

I confess I've had to email sellers after an auction has ended with no bids - twice in the last couple of months, in fact. I'm buying postcards for our museum in town and sometimes just totally fog out on the ending time. The sellers have always been really nice about selling them to me. (And I never offer bottom dollar, either; I usually tell them what we were willing to pay.)

I started a recent auction at 1 cent. A buyer emailed me and wanted me to make a special BIN listing just for them at the same price. NOT!

I hate when shoppers tell me "I was watching your item but I missed the auction; I see it ended with no bids; can you sell it to me?" ... got another one of these today.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
THIS is why I keep "suggesting" to ebay to 'improve' their site with a "place bid now" OR "place bid during last minute" {snipe} option. .......

As a garage/yard sale enthusiast I have to admit I am a bottom feeder and I suspect most eBay sellers are the same. If I can't make a good profit from it I don't buy it. I have absolutely nothing agains anyone who tries to buy something from me at rock bottom prices. I simply say no. Sometimes when it doesn't sell I'm glad to get anything at all.
When hurricane Dennis came through Florida I had five or six auctions marked to bid on but missed them as I had to leave town very quickly. Generally when this happens I email the seller, tell them I will buy the item at the price it didn't sell for if they will relist and sometimes I am even willing to buy it at a premium for their trouble. I have never offered a lower price than it was offered for however.
