Agh there are only 2 days left in July and I have come within $300 of making Powerseller (lowest level). If July had been a normal month I probably would have done it! I had a fantastic May and had hoped that would carry me through but with summer and July being the worst month I don't think it's going to happen.

Wish me luck though!

Helen, My thoughts and prayers are with you. It has been a big struggle to maintain my level... bronze... wishfully hoping someday we both can say we're gold! Bonnie

Thanks bjboswell.

I know a lot of people say Powerseller isn't a big deal and it's more to me something else. When I started selling my items I had absolutely no inventory, I make them all myself and I've gone from nothing to a good potential. To be this close is a huge deal for me ~ I want to reach that goal before Christmas.

I'mthisclose to doing it now.

I think it's a very big deal. I would love to see you make it.

Attaining a goal, however symbolic the goal might be, is a big deal. In practical terms, your life won't change when you make PowerSeller, but you will have set a reaonable but ambitious goal and met it. That's a big deal.

Claude

PS Good luck.
PPS. What I meant about your life not changing was that $9999 in sales isn't very different to $10001 in sales. Obviously either one is very different to $0 in sales.

Yes I don't expect things will change ~ I will just be happy to have met a goal ~ going from nothing, scratch, no inventory to powerseller.

I was a PS last year & now they say I can be one again. Not going that way again, no big deal as far as I am concerned.

Helga,

Good news... there are actually THREE days left in July (29th, 30th and 31st). Maybe you'll still get some sales this weekend that will help push you up to PowerSeller level! Just $100 a day will do it! Good luck!

p.s. If you really want to make the sales quota... you might want to think about launching some three day auctions today. They'll end on Sunday the 31st and might help bump up your sales totals!

Congratulations. Now you can feel pressured every month to create extra listings to keep your sales level sustained in order to keep your powerseller status.

I don't think it would be pressure ~ I mostly have store items right now so I'm doing really well considering that. I upgrade my inventory every single week. As long as there are new fabric patterns out there I have new inventory.

Everything I sell is Buy It Now ~

I don't do any regular auctions. I might closer to Christmas but I run only Fixed Price right now ~

See ~

The Fixed Price listings do fine.

I have a box of crochet books/patterns to list but I havent' even taken pictures of them yet. I haven't decided if I'm going to tear them down and sell them pattern by pattern or if I should sell the entire book. Not sure what to do with that yet.

Helen With your price points it takes lots and lots of sales to make $1000 a month. I am very proud to know you and to hear you say you have started your business with nothing ...from the ground up. That's really what ebay is all about... giving all of us no matter where we live the opportunity to become successful. I do so hope you make it! It doesn't change your life but "cashinyourcloset" is right setting a goal and attaining it is a very big deal... keep us posted.

bjboswell ~

When I started I had enough fabric for 5 checkbook covers. That's it. When I had a chance I would buy a new fabric or whatever when I was able to and eventually I ended up where I'm at now. Like I said, as long as there is always new fabric I'll always have new inventory.

Last night was nothing ~ I'm hoping for a good day today.

Now I'm off to work!

Well I missed it by about $115.

Now I'm starting all over ~ with my sales from the last 2 months I need to have a helluva month now to make up for it.

But still, I was close!
