Since when Do I have to take Pay Pal? I have my own merchant account now. The buyer says he will not pay now. Can I file fees now?

not that i know of, you don't have to take PayPal. as of 19 August, PP sayeth that we must accept all forms of payment - including those made via credit card - if we sell on eBay and offer PP...in your situation though, i think you have to wait 7 days to file the NPB dispute...and then wait another 7 days (well, really 8) to get the fees refunded. maybe you can extract the $ from the buyer if they realize they're gonna get an unpaid item strike. what a sucky buyer!

They told me to stop harrassing them. I told them I am going to file for my fees and that would be an unpaid strike against them. I really do not want their business anyway going by their childish email to me. They have no feed back but will have a new neg when I am done filing my fees.

Do you mention in your auction description that you don't take Paypal? My concern as a buyer would be that you don't take Paypal because you're worried about chargebacks because your merchandise is fake (for certain items anyway).
I just purchased a dog collar and leash that the seller authenticated as Louis Vuitton. The price was low enough that even if it was fake I was comfortable paying that amount. But he did not take Paypal, now I know why - it is so fake it's not even funny. Now he's still selling, but he's made his feedback private. As a buyer, I'm losing the protection that Paypal offers.

hey pop, don't neg 'em - they sound for sure like someone who will neg you back. with their behavior and attitude, it sounds like they'll be history soon enough, and then you'll be stuck looking at the neg forever, long after they're NARU'ed...just file a dispute for the fees. they'll have strike 1 of 3 against them on eBay's records that way, while you suffer no untoward results (unless they're stupid enough to neg you first, in which case, neg the bejeezus out of 'em!)

I say go ahead & neg'em. You can get the neg removed. But even if you don't, it will not be the end of the earth. Loook at it this way. They will have 1 feedback, a neg & you on the other hand should have enough positives that it will not hurt you.

I will file for my fees. I take credit cards and money orders and e-checks on a secure site. Are you going to tell me can't pay with one of those methods ??? This bidder could of worked with me.

Caroline - If that is the buyers reason - they are an idiot. Since Pop has a merchant account they have the same protection that they would using PayPal. They simply initiate a chargeback thru their credit card rather than PayPal.
Pop - sounds like your buyer is just niave. Ebay has convinced them that PayPal is the only safe form of payment and they are probably a bit paranoid about providing you with their info on a third party side. Remember a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

No, I'm saying -- I'm merely -- I'm saying what I'm saying. I don't know why I'm always having people say, are you trying to say -- you know what you can do if you want to know what I'm saying is listen to what I'm saying. What I'm saying is what I said ...
