I went looking for stuff to sell on E-Bay as we didn't set-up this year. I never seen so much worthless garbage in my life. That and mountains of used clothes. I think they need to re-name it The 127 dump. Anything worth having was way to high to try to re-sell.

I experienced the same thing today here in California. 80% of the yard sales consisted of used clothes and broken plastic kids toys. It's been that way for the last couple of weeks. I guess clothes are doing good at these sales, as a lot of people are doing their back to school clothes buying now. A friend of mine sells clothing at the local swap meet. August is his best month for kids clothes.

I went to 3 yard sales and a flea market. I found a few things but nothing to re-sale. I purchased the few items to keep. Several garage sales were passed up because all they had were tables full of clothing. The ones I did go to had lots of "junk". The flea markets were disappointing also. I found a rack for my craft shows/flea markets I set up at but that was it.

I went to an "Antique Spectacular" at a small town fairground (365 dealers). Unsleeved postcards were offered on tables in the beating sun....at ebay prices. By the time every popcorn munching ice-cream cone dripping person had looked at those cards they were WORTHLESS!

I found the same this weekend, too. Just mounds of clothes and newer "decorating" junk.

I know clothes sell on ebay but I just can't get myself to paw through the piles.

I did get a huge black California 50's ashtray but I don't know why...well, it was only 50 cents. Had to pay 15 for a Renaissance dress but it might be a good Halloween costume.
Lately I find better deals at antique stores....garage salers mark any "antique " so high!
