I resigned up about 12 days ago to Vendio after a long break and prior use back to AW.
Sold about 100 total gross in lots and got a Vendio bill for 20.84! So I fired off e-mails to them but they don't work week ends so might hear in a day or two. Seems was 2.95 for 3 MG and I exceeded that so went to 9. something with no cancel of prior charge. Plus bunches more.

Hope there is a reason or I am gone again.
All I need is good pictures for Ebay, use nothing much else.

It's probably a pro-rated bill - part of the 1st month of your service + the charge for the upcoming month. Also if you went over your allotted pic plan, they automatically upgrade you to the next level.

I hate that you can't reach anyone on the weekends. I had a problem last Saturday and couldn't reach anyone. I finally bought their personal assistant plan where you can phone them for $5.95 I think. I paid it, I was desparate. All I received was notice that they would call me on Monday at 9 a.m.! Not much help there. Not only that, but they never even called on Monday!

I've had an ongoing conversation with the moderators about that arbitrary cutoff for number of pictures, bumping us up to the next level. 5 - 55 is a wide range for photos, and I've suggest perhaps having the first cutoff at 10. No dice, so far.

I left Vendio a year ago, I had the 14.95 a month plan but at the end of the month I was always paying 60.00 to 80.00 a month,

I left for another service and I get everything vendio gives but my monthly bill is only 4.95, no hidden costs.
you get 50mb of picture hosting (which is 1000 pics) and you can list up to 12pics per auction.
You pay only 4.95.

There is also free templets that are offered from a web site for free just for this service and they all are real good.
Well, just thought I would let you know.

I went for strictly image hosting & paid this other company $50 for a YEAR of UNLIMITED space with 3000mb bandwidth...

They seem as reliable as everybody else, so they be the best deal I've seen so far for image hosting...

A few interesting bells-&-whistles, but no PSM...

If yer looking for just image hosting, then this gem that Cheryl clued me unto seems the bestest deal

Highly recommended (4 PAWS UP) by Mr Boston Red Sox Ralph, who can be reached at his email here:

As said before "I am here to make money"
Now revised to "I am here to make money FOR ME"

tonimar, I had gone with that company you're talking about, too ... tried them for a couple months, but (just like this co. tomwii is referring to) there is no type of post sale managing, and I ended up coming back to Vendio this month. I don't use all the psm part of vendio (like their checkout, etc.), but they DO a lot better help for me in picking out the non-sold items to tweak and schedule ...

estatesalestuff, yes I know what your saying but what I do is make folders and the items that didn't sell go into a folder and when I'm ready to relist them, I can do them all at one time which is better then me using ebay for relisting.

as for me I'm very happy with all the many features here and I am real glad I cut my expenses down big time. I also don't have to share my end of auction fee, just need to pay Ebay not my program server.

I guess we all need to find what works best for our business, and I feel I found it here.

hmmmm, tonimar ... and for whatever reason, saving those in a file never occurred to me LOL ...

Maybe i'll give that a try ... I'm still in transition with 1/2 my pictures over 'there', and half of them here at vendio.

$100 a month to Vendio?? Congratulations, you must be doing a lot of business. I never go over $9.95. Of course, I sell most of my stuff on Amazon anyway (books).

deur,
I was led to believe from friends who pay the annual fee that they have a better arrangement with VD so their monthly wouldn't be that high. But your monthly fee seems excessive. Are they charging you for the image hosting as well?

You must sell the same group of things over and over to have so many auctions with so few photos??
I use tons of photos but only list 100 to 150 auctions per month. I also don't downsize them so I use more space.
I love Vendio's psm - but to be honest their fees are getting to me too. Last year my bill was $20 to $25 most every month. This year it has been $35 to $39 per month - and I'm not doing anything different. Every since the image hosting billing change????

I have over 40 MB images on file with VD

As long as your Sales Manager, Tickets Manager and Vendio Stores fees exceed the monthly minimum, you will not be charged for Image Hosting

Hello,
Perhaps I have the wrong end of the stick here you be the judge.
Lets assume that pictures, nice bright and BIG are the issue and let us assume in a month sold 40 lots two pic. each for $10.00 each.

With Vendio (If they charge right) would be aprox 9.95 plus .80 (actually a little less) and $4.00 = about $14.75

If you use any other service ebay will charge .75 a lot to up size the pictures to near Vendio quality so .75 X 40+$30.00

Of course if you are happy with rather poor pictures with no up sizing then would be fee. (Except the usual listing fees of Ebay.)

At least this is my thinking at present. You can surly disagree and might be right but that is how I see it now.

My original post was the shock of getting charged 20 dollars for just getting started. Vendio has yet to email me.
