Morning All,

Can anyone give me their input on the Gallery feature? Is it worth the money? Have you really seen an increase to your sales?

I currently used it but at the rate of increasing my items in my store, I am not certain if it is worth the fee especially when I am trying to reach a goal.

Does anyone have over 500 to 1000 items in their stores or just listing that many items on Ebay.

As the fees go up, I am scrutinizing every little extra bell and whistle.

TIA
Rosanne

It depends entirely on what you sell. Some itemsjust don't need a gallery pic, where others do. In one of the lines I buy to resell on ebay, probably 75% of my best sales come from items where the seller did not use the gallery and so their auction was overlooked by browsers and I pick them up at a fraction of what I resell them for.

I thik the best test is to do a completed items search using the most common keywords that would be used to find your item and see what items that don't have the a gallery pic close at as compared to items that do. If the difference is more than the cost of a gallery pic... USE IT!

Hi Fenix
I am sorry, I meant the Vendio Gallery feature that acts as viewing gallery on the individual listing page.

Ohhhhhhhhhh! In that case, I actually have the same question you have. I've been thinking of trying it out but like you, I have a large store and am wondering what if it would be worth it. I was kind of hoping you could designate the items it picks up but was told that is not possible... dern it!.

I have found it to be valuable, i.e. I* put on 12 antique widgets on Monday night, well I had an email from a looker who wondered why I didn't use the gallery so could look at all w/o having to go in & out. I checked & they were in the gallery. Evidently it takes a while for them to show up.

I have found it well worth the money. I sell a lot of collectable items and it helps to have it on my listings so they can checkout the other items I sell. It seems to help with my E-Bay store as far as selling more than one item especially around Christmas. Just about everything I sell is new.

Mama - I haven't used it yet but have been tempted. If you have recently added lots of items you might want to contact Vendio - I believe they do special pricing for large inventories.

Hi Neglus,
I have contacted them and we were going back & forth and back & forth until finally they gave me a price but I wasn't impressed with it. I currently have the next plan after the Gold Plan which is called the Vendio Gallery Custom Plan.
I inquired what the cost would be for the next level since I am currently at 475 to 500 items but steadily working towards 750 to 1000 items in my store.
But I am thinking is this Vendio Gallery feature truly worth the money. That is what I was trying to ask with my poorly worded question. I should have specified the word Vendio Gallery.

The Vendio Gallery is a great concept, but for dial-up users, which still represent half the Ebay buyers, it is very slow to load. When I am doing research on an item, I back out as soon as I run across an auction with the gallery in it. I'm usually in a hurry, so I may not be a representative sample, but you have to consider what buyers may think, especially those that are impatient. I put the gallery in the same category as music, animated gifs and 250 k images and any other thing that impedes a buyer's access to the auction they clicked on to view.
