Since I ran that spyware program the other day and it picked up a keylogger it's freaked me out. It says it's gone and nothing else picks it up but I still didn't want to sign into my banking account with a password or anything.

Here's a tip for the TRULY paranoid (me!)

Use your Microsoft onscreen keyboard for entering passowords and such. It comes already installed but keyloggers can not capture any information when you use that.

Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Accessibility -> Onscreen Keyboard

Thank, another good tip.

I run 3 different Spy programs, and some work better than others, but often one will pick up an intruder, when the other does not. At this present time, I am not seriously impressed with "Counter Spy."

We normally rely on the ratings of a program via Tu Cows and/or C-Net.

Presently this is a link to Tu Cows testing of spyware programs, "Counter Spy" is not in the top 10, although you can get a free download of it via Tu Cows.

This link will take you to the comparison rating of spyware programs by Tu Cows.

If you have been on line very long, I am sure you must be aware of:

Personally, I am going to try the top rated "spyware" recommended by Tu Cows.

Thanks again for your tip.

don't forget to check any program against the Rogue Spyware list before you download!

I have Firefox remember my password - is there any way that someone can access them (provided they are not using my pc) and next question, do saved passwords use keystrokes?

Ingenious marketing... They find some spyware and then tell you you have to pay $40 to get it removed.
