LIFE ORGANIZER

In the past, I have written down things on “TO DO” lists, only to lose the list. I put appointments on a regular calendar, then forget to look at the calendar, or look at it too late and mess up an appointment. I forget which program I want to promote on what day, when I have a nail appointment, and if I schedule a month off, I will be lucky to remember.

Customers or my assistant call and I scribble down the issue, and then either I cannot read what they wanted, or what the problem is.

SO last night I went on a deep, long search for a SIMPLE calendar scheduling program. I went to both Tu Cows, and Download.com, read the reviews, and found most of the programs not only complicated, but wanted to run as wallpaper on my desk top – none of which I wanted. I wanted total simplicity, and after much search, I found it, set it up in seconds, and have already used it.

I found it on TuCows at:

http://www.beiley.com/remind-me/index.html

It is called “Remind-Me”

It has TuCows highest 5 cow rating, and C-Nets also.

It will ring a bell when you start up your computer, two or three days before the event/holiday/appointment/birthday/anniversary, etc. You can set it for ringing at anytime, you can schedule for redundant events like church activities which happen every week, month, year, doctor’s appointments, holidays, AND YOU CAN PUT TO-DO LISTS in under scheduled events, and with those, I schedule it to remind me every day till I get the chore done. It will also send you an e-mail as a reminder if you so choose. It is so simple, and yet, was exactly what I needed.

I have customers ask to have an item shipped, but at a future day, and it is difficult to remember who and when, but with REMIND-ME, such will become easy. Or a customers wants 120 of a given item, and at the time they e-mail me I don’t have 120 of the item, and am not sure I can get such immediately, so I tell the customer I’ll let them know the next day – then the next day I totally forget – REMIND ME will stop that from happening, I’ll just put such in as a TO DO, under what they call Schedule.

My major problem is, while I am working on something on line, a thought crosses my mind about something I need to do either later in the day, or the next day, and even if I write it down, the note gets lost, I forget, etc. With REMIND-ME It will keep at me until the project is done, or I can remove it.

They offer a FREE 30 day trial, but after only 1 day, I am ready to buy, and it is only $19.95 – that is WELL WORK staying better organized.

My husband is forever forgetting what we have scheduled, and since we have our computers networked, he can easily check the “REMIND-ME” on his computer, view it, SO no more excuses of “you didn’t tell me,” or “it slipped my mind.”

Just want to share what a great, simple, but highly useful this program is. It has its Icon on my desktop, and also in my Task Bar.

yah, me too ... I always jot myself notes and lose them too ... and mark the wall calendar and forget to look at it.

so that is $20 for lifetime use of it, or just yearly?

lol, edited to add, I remember a few years ago, I flipped the wall calendar to the next month, May. On May 15th I had written in bold lettering, underlined and with a zillion exclamation points, "FINAL DATE!!!!!!!!!!" ..... And all I could do was think, "what the heck is that all about?" LOLOL ... thought maybe Armegeddon would come, but the day came and went and I never did figure out what missed.

I used Yahoo reminder calendar in the past and it was great but lost it when I changed computers.
I may try this myself. I wonder if you can email reminders to another email.
Thanks for the post
