...she waits 2 months to leave feedback, leaves positive feedback for two of the items and then emails me wondering when she'll get the 3rd one! 2 MONTHS LATER???? Do I smell a rat? I know I boxed all 3 together, checked my inventory and definitely do not have the item in question! She's got 100% positive feedback, as do I.
Options: 1. Dispute it and ask her why the *bleep* she didn't let me know this back in July, argue back and forth risking a negative. 2. Refund the lousy $5.99 and move on. Are there any other alternatives? Which would you choose? Thanks for your input if you've got the time!

Option 2 - refund the $ and move on. $5.99 is definitely not worth the hassle!

I agree with Neglus - too small amount to worry about. But do let her know it was shipped.
A few years back - my friend sold a Hermes scarf for $400 to a lady along with a less expense item. They were packed together but the lady said she didn't get the scarf. It turned out her maid opened it for her and didn't see the scarf and threw it out. Luckily they had not picked up the trash and the scarf was found.
My darn maid is always doing stuff like that to me and she forget to do the cleaning too!!!!! LOL

What was the weight of the package you sent her. Was it heavy enough to have all three items in it?

Tony...no light switch but it is quite "shocking!" LOL Ewora...excellent idea! I will offer to send her a copy of the print out of the postage to show the weight! Excellent idea! I'll still probably end up refunding though! It was my gut instinct anyway for $5.99. $599 would be another story...hehehe...thanks to all of you for your wisdom and support! Peace out!

I'm guessing that she just forgot that she got all 3 items together. When you tell her you shipped them together that mays solve the problem, especially if you have the postage records.

If all else fails, losing the $5.99 will save a lot of headaches.

Don't give her one thin dime. You sent the items, she stated she got the box.

Personally, I would click the delete button and move on.

This makes me think of my whacko buyer from hell when I had a shop on Ruby Lane. Buyer purchases an inkwell for $500. I send it to her with each glass insert wrapped separately in bubble wrap and the stand wrapped separately.

She calls me and claims one of the glass inserts is missing. I check everywhere thinking it dropped out while packaging. Nope, it was definitely in there.

It was insured but she claims the USPS would not allow her to file a claim since they say I might not have sent it. I tell her maybe she accidentally threw away the second glass insert with the packaging material, as they were small - or the package was tampered with in the mail.

She starts calling me every day. I even get to the point where I think, what if one of the dogs ate the glass insert, I check the backyard for it as I am cleaning up after the dogs. Even when we moved from that house, it never turned up - so it was in the darn package.

She then calls the States Attorney's office in my county to try to press criminal theft charges on me! I speak with their internet fraud division and we agree that she is a bit whacko, but their hands are tied.

I told them to offer her a $100 refund so she could purchase another insert with a sterling rim. I had to do something, it was turning in to a legal nightmare.

She accepted and I never heard from her again - thank god! I actually closed my Ruby Lane shop because of this (she was calling their customer service people on a daily basis as well).

I really think she threw the inkwell away by mistake with the packaging.

Perhaps your buyer did also.

Sheesh Caroline! That is a nightmare! I almost cried when I read that story! Fortunately, I have a very reasonable person who still swears she never got it, but is willing to accept half of the responsibility! Maybe I'll start taking pictures of me packing each item as proof it was sent and then posting a web site called, "SeeIShippedItToYou.com"!!!! Although I'm sure my feedback rating would plummet if I did! Thanks all for your support and words of wisdom!
