Well I WISH there was consitency ... for a while off and on for a couple weeks, i get to see the/ s/h amount when I bring up a search ... enjoyed that feature all afternoon today, then tonite... it's gone.

I always get nervous when they pull this crap - it used to be when they made changes like this they crashed everything and ended up with a major outage.
Then when you complain, you get the stupid form response quoting their outage policy.

I'm thinking of adding sub titles to all my listing saying that I don't use fixed rate so I can be FAIR to all my customers-not just the ones who live on the other coast as I live in Florida. I hate this new feature. I never overcharge but now some buyers will think I do if they don't open my page and see my FB.

You know, I don't believe it's going to matter much at all unless you're selling something like ink jet cartridges, of which there are several hundred listings, all with their individual shipping charges and different starting prices or BINs. Then, it's a great service and saves tons of time if you want the best total deal.
Since the great majority of eBay listings these days sadly falls into those categories, it probably works for a huge number of buyers.
