Have a FD 71 and a FD75 for backup. The manual for the 71 ( the 75 is not that much different) shows a line in one diagram that states "slot for AC Adapter cord ) I see no slot to plug into on either camera. Does anyone who owns a '71 '73 or'75 model see one and if so Where is it?

Haven't used a 71 in several years, but I don't remember a power cord slot on mine. In fact all I remember is that I had to remove the battery to recharge it in a separate charger.

I have the FD73 model. The power supply goes into the battery compartment. It looks like the battery. You just insert it into the battery compartment and it has the power cord attached to that. You then just plug it in. But you have to remove the battery to insert the "battery" power cord adapter.

Are you saying that the adapter just slips into the battery compartment on top of the spring and the cord plugs in a wall socket? Think it is worth buying one?

Yes it works fine! All you do is open up the battery door. Pull out the battery then you insert the power cord "battery" into the slot. The bottom stays open as the power cord comes out of the bottom and you then plug it into a socket. Never have to recharge batteries again!
Really easy to use. So if you find one cheap, go ahead and pick one up.
Also here is a site that has a lot of info on it for various Mavica cameras.
