eBay store search results only initially show the first 20 perfect or near-perfect matches to the search query. so it might help to refine some of your store item titles.
made-up example kind of along these lines:
if you have a store item called, let's say, "Ford advertising," you're likely to get lost in the shuffle and not appear in the top 20 items that a potential buyer sees right off the bat (and a lot of people don't seem to know how to tweak those searches).
however, if your store item is called "1954 Ford automobile advertising," you've just targeted your potential buying audience a lot better and there's a much better chance that you'll show up in the search results.

The items at the bottom of search pages are sorted (by default) from LOWEST to HIGHEST priced..you'll show if you are among the lowest priced matches.
There is link to click at the bottom to show MORE results but I just discovered today that those are sorted by ENDING soonest. I am not sure if that is by DEFAULT or set by my search PREFERENCES...people with 60-90-120 day term would only appear at the top at the END of the cycle!!

Vintageads - are you noticing a change in your store sales too?? Mine have come to a standstill (auctions are going about the same as usual) and I am trying to figure out what's GOING ON!

Slow but steady in both the store and auctions. Nothing great. However, my VD store is doing really well and has been for the past few weeks. Who knows!
As for the ebay store search. It is random according to Live Chat. BUT..like most things that are supposed to be random, there is actually a pattern, I think.
I think it is "best near perfect" as suggested by vintagepost but also I think they provide an array within the price range.
I plan to experiment and provide a range of ads (say Jello) at six price points. Rather than six at the same price. I plan to do this on about a dozen items that have high turnover but not necessarily high volume.
