Jack

It's an option the seller has to choose when posting. If there's no button there for you to click on, they don't have it as an option. At least that's what I recall.

jack, i can't believe YOU never bought ANYTHING on ebay? ...

If the seller didn't choose "make an offer" as a feature of their listing, just do a "contact seller about this item" and make them your offer, to see if they accept it and edit their item to a "buy it now" amount for you.

O.k. I lied! ONCE, I bought something and I immediately NEGGED the SOB!!!! The wires were burnt on what I bought, he offered NO resolve...I gave him EXACTLY what he deserved. I noted just lately he is NO longer selling and had a min 199 negs...he WAS a POWERSELLER 6844 FB's. YES!!!!!!!! I told that SOB I would STILL be around LONg after he was TOAST! I am, he ain't

Therefore I am NOT a seasoned buyer....

The thing I want to buy is a REALLY HARD item to sell, I know it very well......Tough to get rid of......but a friend wants it....it DOES make reciprical MONEY, over and over......it's a money machine if you will....i know them VERY well,,,,but they are hard to sell, ONLY,,,,, to the RIGHT person.....

Tell him to notify you immediately if he changes it to a BIN so you can grab it before someone else does. Better yet, see if he can change it to a pre-approved bidders auction when he adds the BIN. Offer him an extra 5 bucks for his trouble. That way, no one can stumble across it and get it before you do.

The curiosity is killing me. Once the auction is over and/or you have the item, can you tell us what it is?

Power...Study the clues Jack gave. It's very hard to get rid of. Only a person with a real need would want it. It's a moneymaker. It takes a truck with a lift gate to load it. It can't be anything other than a pink and purple porta-potty with a coin operated lock.

It'll probably make perfect sense once I hear the answer, but at this point I'm still guessing...

If you ask me that, here is the answer you will receive.

My prices are already at their lowest.

Now, back to Biz

O.k. this was actually the FIRST bid war I ever did. I never responded back to the offerer at his SET price...

I just went through the bidding process like anyone else...(just to see how it works, what it was ALL about as a BIDDER/buyer,,,,)

Proxy,,,,,,,Now I see what it's all about,,,everytime I made a bid,,,, you have been outbid,,,bid again,,,,so,,,,O.K.....$50.00....out bid,,,$60.00....outbid....$70.00!!!!!!! out bid ,,,,,forget that,,,,no one was 'Bidding against ME,,,,I was bidding against a locked in stated HIGHEST price a bidder had locked into the system...Ie,,,Bidder says,,,I am WILLING to pay UP to....say ,,,,$150.00....

Ah never mind....I stopped when I realized what was happening....
