I've never had to do it! but I would return the money they paid for shipping originally.

I'm wondering if your survey should include shipping both ways, yes or no. They pay to have it ship, originally, then pay to ship it back to the seller.

No - I haven't found any business in it for more than a few years that does it. Check out any of the catalog companies. Even if they provide a return label for your convenience - they deduct the cost of shipping before providing your refund.

Yes and No

Yes, if there is a defect with the item that was not noticed or described, or the item was not as advertised, then yes, I will refund shipping.

No, if the item is not exactly what the customer wanted, or if they changed their mind, etc.

If the item is not as described and I made a mistake then yes I would return all shipping costs.
I just purchased 3 winter coats for my 3 daughters from a well known company and I bought 2 in size 8 and 1 in size 10, I found out after they arrived that the 10 should have been a size 8 which was my mistake, I paid to ship it back, and I paid to have it shipped to me the first time but what they did was ship the return coat back to me without charging me. which was nice of them to do but I didn't expect it.

I think each transaction needs to be handled according to what type of problem it is. It's hard to say "yes" or "no" to this question.

No. I state those terms in my ad. If I did not desribe an item fully, I would of course refund for shipping.

Yes, both way's if the item is not as described, does not work or something else I may have missed in the description.

Thanks everyone for your responses. This issue has become a thorn in my side this week. Hearing all your ideas gave me food for thought and a new way to look at returns. I never gave it a second thought that QVC for instance does not return shipping charges if you have to return something... I am going to amend my auction template. Thanks

No shipping refund if item and condition is described accurately (no refund for buyer's remorse).

Yes for shipping refund if there was a seller's error in the listing.
