I have seen many people talking about how much they like Mozilla FireFox and I thought I would give it a try. I downloaded it yesterday and must say I do like it. Easy to use and I really like the Adblock feature. I am having one small problem that I can not figure out how to work around. When I go to my ebay page and click on the "Print Shipping Label" icon to print a shipping label using PayPal's service I get a Alert box that states "The connection to payments.ebay.com was terminated unexpectedly. Some data may have been transfered." The box has a yellow triangle with a exclamation point in it. The only option you have is to click the OK box. Any idea's what's going on?? Link to Paypal shipping label works if I use windows IE but not FireFox.

Hi Mike,
I Love Mozella. I used to use Netscape till AOHELL bought it and ruined it like every thing else they touch. I hate the way Explorer handles Favorites and I think it has been shown that hackers tend to write their viruses to attack ME and other browsers escape their attack. But there are occasional problems with HTML incompatability.
A lot of websites are created using Frontpage which is Microsoft's Web creating program and of course they write the HTML to be Explorer specific. I have actually not done any auctions since I have been using Firefox so I can't address any specific problems but occasionally, I am forced to paste the URL of a given web site into Explorer and use it because some of the frame code only works in ME.
I don't have any help to offer, other than to mention that I use Firefox to print labels, and it works fine. PayPal was having connection issues a few days ago, and it might just be a coincidence that the problem took place just when you started using Firefox.
Firefox works fine for me for everything except Vendio's Customer Manager software when you have two panes up.

Morning:
I've been printing labels from PayPal/my eBay for many months now using Firefox. Never a problem or anything such as you describe.
Only issue I have is the inability to upsize eBay picture gallery photos when looking at listings. They have to open into new window -- never a problem with vendio, andale or other picture services.
Double check your security settings. What happens if you print straight from PayPal rather than the eBay link?

I use Firefox too and wouldn't THINK of going back to IE. I wonder if your download settings need to be adjusted to allow the label generating site to install whatever it is they install. Can you tell I am not a techie LOL(I don't print labels from ebay). Seems to me Glassgrl or someone here explained how to work with this. Download settings are set in Tools->Options and I think it was Web Features?

FireFox v1.x and Opera v8.5 are great browser and both are fully compliant with current HTML, CSS and JavaScript standards. Sadly, as a typical Microsloth product, Internet Explorer is not and improperly renders a significant number of major websites. eBay's poorly-trained code monkeys write their HTML, CSS and JavaScript to work solely with Internet Explorer. For an example of their abysmal programming skills visit ebay.co.uk with FireFox and do a search, any search - you'll be asked to login to perform a "completed items search"... what the hell? A few eBay UK sellers have noticed a drop off in the number of bids, and watchers over the past week - seems that's when eBay UK decided to lock out non-MSIE browsers. Numerous other programming nightmares have been ongoing at eBay for years, and coincidentally the worst always seem to occur around the busiest time of year in the pre-Christmas sales season.
If I were a conspiracy theorist (which I'm not), then I'd say that since Google supports the FireFox development team maybe eBay has done this on purpose since Google is their biggest competitor? Or maybe since Opera is a Norwegian product someone at eBay doesn't like that country, thought it was a paid up member of the "Axis of Evil™" or harbored "Weapons of Mass Distraction"?

Thanks for the reply's all. I found that if I open the tools bar, options, security and clear download manager history it works fine. That has be baffled. But it works. While researching this problem I did a little surfing on Mozilla's site and downloaded some upgrades for Firefox like the Adblock and some other add on's. I found I really like that once I block one of those annoying flashing, epileptic seizure inducing flashing add's like found here on VENDIO it's gone for good and will not come back. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, eyeball releif Thanks again for the help.
