Got this email from what looks like ebay's Ask a Member a Question:

"I'm still waiting the package to arrive What happened? Please mail me ASAP or I will report you to ebay."

No indication of what the item was. When I hit the email reply button (not the ebay link in the email) the reply address is "[email protected]," not the user's email.

Is this a spoof?

Geez, pelorus, what do you think?

A vague message designed to make you panic...could that possibly be a spoof?

Here, let me put my thinking cap on.

Karnak says: Check "My Messages" in "My eBay".

It sounds like a spoof - but with the new Ebay communication system, when you try to reply like that you are not going to get their email, as they want you to only use the yellow button so all communications can go only through them.

You do have their user id from the email though, so I would not reply, but do a bidder search with their ID and just double check that they did not buy anything from you, if not - report them to Ebay's safe harbor so they can shut them down.
