Nope, not my photo.
Reference is to the photos posted in the body of the ads. This ad is getting lots of attention, but it looks like the seller has not figured out why yet, lol.

HUMMMMMMM I can't seem to visit the URL it comes up like the qtsrv something. Anyone have the url in normal not referral format? Know I get this a lot for links that are redirected for some reason. Security too tight on system I think. Wanted to see what everyone is looking at.
Thanks

Item number: 7368007122
I still do not understand why anyone would steal those photos or why the person they were allegedly stolen from would care or why if they were not stolen from an individual why they would give a flip..... GOSH I am confused about the whole issue

deur, They did not steal that exact photo. They obvious used a link to another seller's photo of the guitar. Other seller found out and replaced the photo in the link with an edited version to teach this guy a lesson.
Many sellers resent someone else copying their work without permission. Copyright violation is bad enough, but this seller was even lazy enough to use the other sellers link. That eats up bandwidth.
So you have 2 violations here. A. Stolen images, B. Unauthorized use of a server.
How would you feel if you found out someone had copied your auction for an item that you had spent 2 days researching and photographing?

You were too kind. The last person who did this to me got a picture of a lynching, and an image of a nazi swastika, a picture of Adolf Hitler, and a note on there that said free overnight shipping if you said Hail Hitler when paying.
I then wrote to the person from another ebay ID, told them I saw this and that I was very offended that they have Nazi's and a Lynching in their listing, and that I was reporting them to ebay.
Needless to say, they wrote back very apologetic, saying they did not know what was happening and they were reporting this to ebay.
I had to laugh, they were reporting themselves.
Image thiefs suck, but oh what fun you can have with them.

well now I get why the one who had this happened to them would be upset -the server link would irritate anyone. I have had people use my photos. I used to sell designer dolls - $1000 and up. They were a pain to photograph and write up. I complained but it was useless.
I guess I was just a little irritated
when I responded to this link.
I no longer sell dolls but a while back a seller who sell many things I also sell emailed me. She wanted to know why I had used a photo from the distrubutors website . It turns out that it was not - it was a photo I had taken.
I then checked her listed and about 75-85 % were photos from different websites -----gosh that ticked me off!
anyway LtRay I never meant to offend ya, if I did, I apologise

Finally found where to okthat redirect and saw auction Just wondering if they actually stole the image cause the one with all the ugly words and the dill deer are separate images and it is in a table in the source code unless they are using his source __Probably then they just changed about 3 of the images as they are all separate images to another site vintagekramer.com LOL Still funny. Maybe???they did this on purpose. But probably is linking. Dummy--
Wonder if they ever check their own auctions ? must not. OH also in their code is another link to an image that isn't even showing up...same site.
Glad I read this post will know what to do if mine ever get used.
Another thought they can't use our stored images here at Vendio can they with a link wouldn't it cause a charge??( or not work) to show up as image used if not doing auction on Vendio??? It use to be 10 cents an image if posted not going through Vendio??? raises a very good question. I try to delete after auction but leave them until after person' gets their item if wanting to compare.
My 2 cents worth paid in increments of 1% per annum uncompounded yearly!

Irked, yes, you can be charged for the use of the image. I had it happen to me when I was using VD imaging. It is how I learned someone else was using my image.
Deur, not offended.
On the subject of someone "stealing" images or description. I sell a book for a neighbor. I am the only who sells the book new. A few months ago the book showed up on Ebay in used condition.
Out of curiosity, I checked the ad. He had copied my ad word for word. I worked a long time getting that ad, so I wrote him and gave him the option of giving credit to my seller ID for the info or to pull the ad.
Within hours, he had removed everything from the ad. He didn't have much choice. I would have felt no quilt reporting him to Ebay.
