Had a newbie buyer purchase a postcard today - she send this email in response to my invoice:

"Something is wrong with PAYPAL. I have filled out ALL the information 4 TIMES. I am NOT going to do it again. Please have someone from this service contact me for billing information. I do NOT have time to mess with it anymore. I do wish to purchase your item, but this paypal program is a PAIN today.
thank you."

SIGHHHHHHHH sales are slow enough and I have a feeling that this will end up NPB. I responded that I didn't think I could find a real live person at PayPal to help her since I could never find one to help me but that I would take a personal check instead of PP.

I wonder if the computer gremlins are out and about today - my isp was down for 4 hours (Verizon) which almost never happens. I can't get on to Ebay or Paypal - I wonder if something's going on?

My buyers don't have to bother with the delay and trouble of using PayPal. They all use direct bank transfer* which is free to both parties, and often same day too

* offer not valid in USA/Canada.

..sales are slow enough..

Neglus, is this a 'turned-off' faucet week?

(I was thinking it looked like a kinda lully sunday and monday, myself). All the activity seems to be on the X-boxes and other electronic gift items.

That was Funny how your buyer thinks you have a direct hotline to PP!

dB - this is a turned off faucet SEASON! THE PITS! And ebay keeps throwing new CARP at us and that just means more work for diminished returns and we just keep paying (and paying and paying - like the Energizer Bunny) Last year at least ebay tossed a few reduced listing fee days our way and December was one of my best months..this year...er, well, what can I say but EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!! Guess Santa will be leaving IOU's in my kids' stockings

Dont worry, Neglus. It will get better.

I dont think people have really 'woken-up' yet. (Except for the mad shoppers at the malls on black friday.) But that doesnt seem a vast majority of people, does it? Especially people who like postcards and other things for artistic or sentimental values. Have a feeling January and February will be better months if its cold and people stay indoors on their computers. (?)

Look for midwest bidders then. It's a whopping 12 degrees in the sun right now in Denver. YUK!!
