It's not a very good depiction of any given breed. It may be an attempt at a beagle, or even pointer, but is most likely the artist's intrepretation of a generic dog. Given the not particularly accurate positioning the ribbon that is supposed to be hanging from the dog's mouth...the artist certainly doesn't seem to have been all that, er, gifted.

Thanks to all - he does look like a pointer and I agree the art isn't all that great - but look at those eyes!
