We will get a free listing day when pigs fly.

Steve, why do you say that? Haven't we gotten one just about every year between Christmas and New Years?

I can't get excited about it, though. If you only get 1/2 as much for an item as you have historically gotten, it doesn't help that you didn't have to pay to list it.

There wasn't one last year. I think it was a 10 cent day last time.

eBay is big enough and the "free listing days" were so anticipated and overused, I'd be willing to bet we never see another purely free day again. Free Fixed Price, sure. Half Price or other discounts definitely. Free regular listings? Nope.

Fluffy, eBay knows that they will get over 10 million extra listings with a 10-cent day, so little chance of a FLD.

We had an honest to goodness FLD in June didn't we - it was an "I'm sorry" for something or other from Bill Cobb as I remember. Maybe Pigs will fly again (or ebay will have a colossal screw up which is more likely)

ED: No I looked back and it was in May and it was 10 cent day for auctions and FP . Then we waited and waited for another and it didn't come until November (when I was on vacation naturally)

I think the last United States FLD was Valentines Day 2003.

Yeah, I thnk the FLD in June was for Fixed Price or something like that. It certainly wasn't a "regular" FLD.

It was not a FLD. Ebay hasn't has an FLD in over 18 months.

It was a 10 cent FP Day.

I never liked FLD either - too much junk gets listed and that hurts everyone's sales.
Give me a 1/2 off upgrade anytime. Yeah how about now???
