I just came across this, and guess I didn't know about it before? (I'm in the Money Market part of paypal, which seems to be an option of either money market OR they can set up your funds to have pass-through fdic coverage ...)

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. On the scale of things to worry about, this one falls right between the sun ceasing to exist anytime soon and Paris Hilton winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
