I use my Mavica for all our auctions, but we want to know if there is a way to transfer the pictures taken in a mavica, onto one of those 'instant photograph printer' machines ...

If so, what do I need to buy to do so. ... right now i just use floppy disks, but i know my camera could take those memory stick thingies ...

Any help? ... I only know what I know, and that isn't much. lol ...

Can you burn the pictures to a cd? I've never used a photo machine, but I would assume that they would take a cd.
The memory stick needs an adaptor to be able to use it in a Mavica. Could get expensive

I "thought" I saw ads or commercials of a memory stick attached with a cord or into a socket, to a photo printer, for printing out the pictures ... ?

My Mavica (fd90) needs an adaptor to accept a memory stick. Are you saying that the photo printing machines don't accept the memory stick? The adaptor you are talking about probably has a usb plug on the end to plug into the computer.
What about using a online printing service like Snapfish?

I dunno, max ... my husband likes taking pictures of 'nature' and was wondering if there was a way that our sony mavica, could instantly 'make' photos on one of the photo machines ... and I just don't 'work' with that, so i was hoping that one of the quite a few people on this board knew that answer to that .... it would give me 'something' to buy for him ... the man that has everything he needs (= me) lol ...

Conntect your photo printer to your pc and transfer them that way. Most photo printers can be conntected to a PC also via the USB cord. If it has a card reader just put card into photo printer. If no card reader you can get a card reader and attach that to the photo printer. Several ways to get images into most Photo printers that I know of. Trick is to make sure you have the right kind of adaptor cord for putting it to PC or card reader accessory.
Hope that helps. Oh the photo printer should have come with software for pc if not XP will pick it up probably as a drive like your C or D drives under my computer.

I'm making a list and checking it twice!

Your camera has a slot for a memory stick.I believe you just pop the memory stick into the little printer. I would ask the sales rep where you go to buy the printer. I saw one at K-mart last week but the price of the paper and ink turned me off .Walmart does a super job printing my Mavica print at .12 each. With the cost of the printer ,the ink and the paper it just easier to me to use Walmart. They made the cutest Christmas cards with one of my pictures of a kitten we have.
Edited to add
Here a scan of the Christmas kitty pic ...scans a little blurry but you get the idea ,it was 4.00 for 10 and that includes envelopes to mail them in.About the same cost as regular cards but have your personal touch.

Just stopped at Walgreens for a quart of milk. Their photo machine has a slot for a floppy disc.

Cool ... thanks everyone ... I did do a search on ebay for 'mavica photo printer' and found a model that seems to work with all mavicas; it's called a FVP-1 ... they go for 30 to 55$ ...
