Classic...If they wire you the money, you can go to any WU agent and pick up the cash. If they go thru Bidpay (which is an authorized WU agent, they will mail you a Western Union money order, which will be good. They can also purchase a WU money order at any WU agent and send to you. They can also print one up on their laser printer and send one to you. They can do this with Travelers Express, WalMart or USPS money orders also. It's the last scenario you want to watch out for. Most of the Western Union fraud will be part of a scam that requires you to send money to them through WU, usually as a refund for the overpayment they sent you via a forged or counterfeit cashier's check.

AS FOR MOs and CASHIER CHEQUES:
I now only accept USPS money orders, as you can take them to the PO for instant verification...
ALL the others are being beautifully printed by the LADS of LAGOS and the VLADS of BUCHAREST and are iffy according to Chief Inspector Ralph J. Dawg!
BIDPAY is essentially 100% SAFE, as far as he can snif out...

There is nothing wrong with BidPay, I have had several & never a problem. The only critizim is that the payer is charged at least $5.00 for one.

I for the most part only accept BidPay for international items where the total charge is less than $1000. I direct them to use my registered BidPay name, as it goes directly to my checking account (it usually takes a couple of days).
I usually offer to take some money off the amount, figuring that I would have paid a PayPal fee if they were a US-based bidder.
I've never had any trouble with BidPay EXCEPT that they won't process refunds.
