-ALL- The Rankin-Bass stop-motion specials. Especially "The Year without a Santa Claus". I just watched it with my niece and the Miser Brothers made her cover her eyes

The all-time winner and still champeen:

Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol

Don't scoff until you've seen it. Primitive animation, yes; thin plot, perhaps; but the music by Jule Styne and Bob Merrill is amazing.

Tops quite a few peoples' Favorite Christmas Movie lists, particularly us middle-aged codgers who saw it on TV every year growing up.

Yes, Fluff, that was good. Forgot about that one.

Here's another unforgetable.

A Charlie Brown Christmas.

A few years back, I paid somebody on amazon like 38.00 for the original english dubbed video of The Christmas that almost wasnt I loved that movie! Brings me such fond memories as a kid, when the world was a much smaller place. The firemen in our town used sponser a local Christmas padgent/gathering whatever it was - and the Lowes theater would let them use the theater for the day. They'd give out those stupid stockings with plastic toys and candy in them, and then you got to spend the afternoon watching these Christmas movies for free. You could sit there all day and watch two movies over and over, and we did.

It was always so magical as that theater was so large and opulent with italian art on the ceilings and these huge marble staircases. As a kid you dont realize the grandiousity of it all, but you throw in santa claus and Christmas, and when walk in you just know its something larger than life going on....thats how I remember it.

Gotta be "Life of Brian" from my favourite comedy crew the Cambridge Footlight Fellows aka Monty Pythons Flying Circus. Truely celebrates the Mass of Christ in the true spirit of religious understanding and brotherly love.

A Christmas Story is my all time favorite too - that's how I ended up naming one of my dogs Ralphie - Hey, Tom - is that how your Ralphie got his name also?

Nah!

He's named after Ralph Kramden -- in a previous life, Ralphie was a bus driver --

Never argue with a seance...

Twere a HUSKEY medium plus 4 other canine "spiritualists" -- actually, I think they had been playing poker before we arrived!

While I "conversed" with HOUDINI, Ralphie got in touch with his "inner puppy"

-- THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE was veeery spookey, especially the 'OR DOURVES: "pigs-in-a-blanket", with REAL pigs & REAL blankets!

I loved A Christmas Story the first 20 times I saw it. Does anybody remember Jean Shepard's NY show he had back in the 60's, in which he told stories about Ralph, Flick and the others?

I also remember seeing the Grinch the very first time it was shown.
