My children (aged 21 and 19) are still nestled all snug in their beds ...and so is DH (sans cap BTW) for that matter...SIGH! I remember past Christmasses when we were up before dawn to see what Santa had brought.

I have to share my story from last night. After my day of power shopping and then dinner with friends, we went to midnight candlelight services - very lovely. We sang a couple of verses from all the favorite carols and the soloist sang "O Holy Night". And then came the sermon/homily... I kept getting elbows in my side as my youngest chided me for "resting my eyes" (I swore I was not sleeping)and her sister leaned over to say I snored! I protested loudly.

On the way home I commented that the minister looked very tired last night (after 7 services, who could blame him?) and they said "well he has had a hard week with his dog dying and all.." I asked how they knew that..BUSTED! I guess that was an important part of the sermon that I "rested" through.

Don't you just HATE when that happens??
