I don't think so. My friend brought the following auction to my attention and wanted to know what is going on:minimum bid, one dollar, but you must pay $25.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4428578680&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

The person/company running the auction has zero feedback. Would you bid in this auction or just leave it alone? I would probably leave it alone unless I really wanted the items and was willing to put up with a big hassle. Thanks.

Obviously it is an ILLEGAL auction with BLATANT...FEE AVOIDANCE!

If ye be so inclined, turn them into feeBay & watch the auction...DIE!

He'll be lucky if he ain't NARU'ed!

If we all ran listings like this, feeBay would soon be anudder PETS.COM...

Just plain Fee avoidance.

"Somebody" should report them. I'm off duty.

No wonder they have zero feedback, they probably get kiccked off of ebay ona regular basis.

Totally illegal. Soliciting offsite sales, with a link to their website, no less. They're using the old Jart trick of listing a three day auction over a three day holiday weekend, hoping Ebay will have a skeleton staff on duty and not be able to catch it.

This is clearly not a newby either. The listing is far too advanced for someone that had never been on ebay before.

I was thinking the same thing, Stone. This account was registered on Dec.17, and this character looks like he's had a little experience listing before. Could be a throwaway seller account. They should be pretty easy to set up with the new prepaid Visa and Mastercards that anyone with a couple bucks in his pocket can get and a a free Juno account.

I don't think ebay actually polices the site itself. I think they just monitor boards like this one and wait for others to discover the problems
