How did everyone do on their 10 cent listings? My 3 and 5 day auctions did much better than my 7 day.

I had a horrible sell thru rate on the .10 items but my store sales went thru the roof. No complaints on my end.

So-so results. I may not try the 10-cent day again. But I was selling some pound puppies rather than really good stuff, so. . . . I guess this ain't a scientific experiment!

Very bad, sold 10 out of 37. I sell mostly rubber stamps & haven't been listing much for the last two years. Had to stop while the house was being re-built.
Two years ago I always sold 99% of what I listed. So what happened other than the stamping hobby is probably dieing out. Here I sit with about 5000 of them to sell.
Looks like I'm in trouble so what I'm going to try is selling in lots & then cross my fingers.

mcJ- If you don't mind shipping to the UK you might want to take a look at selling on their site. I did some checking a couple months ago for someone that was looking to clear out their stamp inventory and both the sell thru rate and the final prices were better thru ebay.uk than on the US site.
Since you are considering selling in lots you can take advantage of the $9 flat rate 9 x 12 global priority envelopes.
You can even try out AuctionChex to avoid any possibility of chargebacks.

Well, all auctions are over and I would say I had a good 10 cent listing day. About 90% sold and the snipers were hitting hard. Overall I am very happy. Also looks like I have alot more watchers than usual on my other upcoming auctions.

Fantastic. I made more today then I made in Oct/Nov & Dec combined. Although that's not saying much as I mostly took December off. Now I'm swamped trying to get out invoices and do all the shipping. I may not launch anymore auctions this month just work on putting inventory in the store.

All I can say is WhooHoo! Sell thru was not the best, but final prices more than made up for it. I'm going to dump most of what did not sell at my favorite charity and move on.
My goal is to just get a bunch of this stuff out of here this year. Every 2 $ of profit is a $1 worth of "junk" I can give away and not deal with.
As for watchers, I was amazed at the amount of watchers and last minute bidders. Have not seen that in SOOOOOOOOOOO long. I hope they keep it up for away.

Another great .10 cent listing day for me also. 170 listed and sold 118 . A little over $5,000.00 in sales.

I would like to thank everyone who did not list during the 10 cent listing period. It allowed bidders to find my items as well with out yours in the way.
This was avery successfull listing period. No surprise there. It has always been good in the past and was very much the same this year.

I did well - sold some things I had put a high fixed price on and I didn't expect to sell - all sold without the customer using Best Offer, which I had used also.
I know I was outbid on almost everything I tried sniping - it was very, very heavy bidding on Sunday - most 5 day auctions from the $0.10 listing day.
Seemed like a success - wish I had listed more!

McJane--I am looking for rubber stamps at a reasonable cost for some craft projects I am going to be doing for shows this year. Do you have any that have sayings, flowers and floral designs, animals or cutesy stuff on them? I have been looking at the stamps on Ebay but just don't like some of the prices. I want to find a large lot of different stamps.
Thanks, Meowmix
My 10 cent listings were sad. I sold about 8 items out of 45. Lots of lookers but no takers. Most of what I had was craft books that I have needed to sell. Oh well, I will put them in my Ebay store.

How did everyone do on their 10 cent listings?
I had 0% sellthrough, first time ever.
Of course, that might have had something to do with the fact that eBay suspended me Friday night and ended all my auctions, including the 10 centers.
But congrats to everyone who did well. I never did believe the doom and gloomers.

Mike, you haven't heard the half of it. Literally.
I was suspended Friday night and reinstated Saturday night.
Then I was suspended AGAIN last night and reinstated today.
You can read all about it at that "other" message board...starts with O, ends with A.
I can hardly wait for this weekend. I figure it'll be Sunday.
Meanwhile, if I go into ONE MORE STORE that's still playing Christmas music I think I'm gonna ralph.

fLuff - Sounds like ebay's having fun trying to drive you nuts. How nice to suspend you and then reinstate you so you could launch auctions only to have them cancled again the next day. I know what you did. You snuck down Meg's chimney at christmas and left her a lump of coal in her christmas stocking didn't you. If not, you should have.
Hmm, starts with O and ends with A. Got me stumped. This is about the only message board I go to. There seems to be a minimal amount of morons here, not free of them but minimal.
Couldn't agree more on the christmas music. BAH HUMBUG !!! I don't mind the occasional jingle here and there but please people, give me a break before I do. Christmas is fine but it has just been to over commercialized for me.
Some more clues please, your killing me with suspense. Starts with O, ends with A and ****

Mike: Starts with O, then has a T and ends with A. Someone else can fill in the other letter.

I have no problem selling in UK
Didn't know I could do that & it's worth looking into.
Thanks for the suggestion it's a good one.
My prices & postage are hard to beat, I consider them rock bottom. I think a mistake I made was the variety I listed, certainly not my best.
My user ID on eBay is mcjane
I have nothing listed now, only completed can be checked.

I had an auction pulled on an item I had sold quite a few times, in fact I had sold one a few weeks ago. VERO sent me the ole if you do this again off with your head notice. Maybe they should give some of us Sellers a trophy for having the most axed auctions.

OMG Fluff! I can't believe it! Ebay has its head so far up its a$$, its about to turn itself inside out!
I did the very same thing you did - added addresses to my account so I could subscribe to magazines for Christmas presents...who would DREAM that this would cause ebay to think SHILL bidding>>>>
I am so sorry this happened to you.

Thanks, Mary Ann. I was beginning to think I had gone nuts. As a seller I always look at the ship-to address but sometimes I don't see the note accompanying the payment.
We should get this news out. If nothing else, we've made a tiny pinhole in eBay's impenetrable T&S Cone of Silence.

Fluff, I am wondering why you have not contacted your attorney and let him/her handle this matter.
The only way you will ever receive a valid response from either ebay or PayPal is by seeking help from an attorney. You do not necessarily have to begin legal action, however, the introduction of an attorney, enhances your receiving a timely answer. And, may help resolve this matter in your favor.
First item on your agenda for tomorrow should be a phone call to an attorney - someone who is versed on Internet law.
Otherwise, you are just throwing sand into the wind.

The truly sad part is they actually do nothing to those who actually are shill bidding and badly at that.
Go into the Computers category sometime and watch some auctions.
I agree though sounds like a disgruntled fan is reporting every chance they get.
