I tried to make a withdrawal with my card today from two different ATMs and am getting the same message that they cannot process the rquest.. There is more than enough in the account and I just checked the account and there does not seem to be a problem on that end - just wondering if it's a system problem.

I just made a purchase using my card and didn't have a problem. (It wasn't an ATM withdrawal though, so there could be a problem specific to that and I wouldn't know.)
I hope it was just a glitch and you're able to access and withdrawl your hard earned money soon.

Did you try calling the card issuer? It is a different company then paypal. The number is on the back of the card. 402-935-2017 Might be worth calling the card company and asking them.

I thought the ability to withdraw PayPal money from ATM's was going to be discontinued. Seems to me I read that somewhere.

I think stonecold may be confused.
What did happen was that Washington Mutual, which previously allowed fee-FREE ATM withdrawals, has reinstituted a $1.50 fee.

"Cannot process the request" usually means the ATM can't get through on the phone line to get an approval.

uH Oh. I got that message 2 months ago. When I checked with PayPal, they told me mine was one of tens of thousands "compromised" and had to issue a new card.

I only use mine as a credit card. I have never had a problem that way, but no ATM will accept it never would.

I think one reason many people have trouble with their card not working in alot of ATMs is they just are not set up to. If you look at the back of the paypal card it only works in ATMs that take Cirrus and Maestro. I have found that the majority of ATMs take Star, Plus and Interlink. Of the 10 or so ATMs that are close to me my paypal card only works in one of them because it is set up with Cirrus. Next time you plan on going to a different ATM just check the front of the machine where all the logo's are. If you don't see Cirrus or Maestro it will not work.
