I received an email supposedly through eBay. Re; an item supposedly sold in September. I can't find the item as it is too long ago. Now the the thing that has me wondering what is going on, is that there is nothing in my eBay message center. This sounds like an attempt to hack me.

IT'S A SPOOF, DO NOT CLICK ON ANYTHING IN THE EMAIL. Just forward to [email protected] and then deleate. I get these all the time. I don't even open emails from PayPal or ebay anymore. Just forward and delete them. If there real I will read them in my ebay messages.

You can always find your old sales emails by search for the item number or person's email address. Or look it up in your offline ebay sales database (if you have one).
All legitimate emails from eBay will start with something like, "eBay sent this message to Joe Bloggs (joe_bloggs)."
