I had two bidders just pay with PayPal. One notice I received was just like others in the past. The other was altogether different. It has a large reference number in a yellow box and a completely different format. Has anyone else had this happen and is it legit? Curious...Just checked my PayPal account and the payment was listed...Just wondering about the different format of the notice...It looked more like a receipt from the buyer than an actual notice from PayPal. This is the first one of these that I've gotten.

Am I missing something (again)? I've had about 5 payments through paypal in the last few days and never got a notice from PayPal that payments were made. I have to keep checking my account or get a surprise when I check on my listings here. They have my correct email address.

I always receive a notice from PayPal that says something like "Notice of Payment"...still don't know any more about the "different" one BUT the payment has been posted on my PayPal account so guess it's OK. I didn't reply to the notice though and just e-mailed the buyer directly...didn't want to take any chances. So, I guess all is fine but it's still odd I think. Maybe the guy has some sort of program set up so that he can mail notice of PayPal payments to his sellers?

blueyes: Was one payment International? I just paid for an item from the UK site, and the notice was quite different from the US or Canadian one.

" I have to keep checking my account or get a surprise when I check on my listings here. They have my correct email address."

anothertreasure log into Paypal and turn on instant notifications for Paypal payments. Under Profile tab / selling preferences/ Instant Payment notifications preferences. Mine is turned on so don't know exact steps but there is an edit button there surely it is self explanitory. ALSO on Account information under Profiles click" Notices" and check off what notices you want to recieve...... but ebay also has a place to set email preferences of what you recieve notice of. so check that too in your account? You should get notices of payments if you have that option set and email addresses are correct. Hope this helps.

Can't touch this! uh huh, uh huh.

irked - thanks
The instruction you mentioned appears to be for those who have websites, I had no URL to enter. However, I did find out that my passwords for PayPal and eBay are different and PayPal couldn't connect to eBay. I think that will do it.
Thanks again
