I hope someone will know this. I made a big mistake and offered an item internationally and now I must figure out how to ship it for less than $300 - $400?

Select your country here, and it will give you size limits and a lot of other information:

Check with DHL/
You can also call freight forwarder ,they could tell you what is the best way to ship.

It is really 2 shell chairs and the base comes off. Both together really need a 22" cube box to ship to Holland. The size limit is a total of 108. I'm going to see if I can arrange it to fit a 20" cube.
I think I tried DHL and it wouldn't work.
Any help would be appreciated.

call your local freight forwarder, they may find room for your chairs with container load or half container load carton, make sure you and you buyer understand the whole procedure- sea, rail, trucking ,customs etc.A freight forwarder should arrange for pickup and drop off, clear thru customs with proper paper work. You dont want the shipping company to leave the chairs at the dock and your buyer has to hire a customs broker to take it thru customs and then arrange for local delivery.
Also you may want to ask your Dutch bidder if he has a shipper in mind.

I always go to the usps web site and do a shipping quote. It will take you to a link for that countries restrictions including size, weight and if your item can be legally shipped to that country.

I worked it out (with a little help from my friends!!! at Vendio)
I can get them in a 22 cube box and then cut it down to 18 inches tall. Box measures 89" plus 18" = 107. It will cost about $100. Made it by the skin of my teeth.
Now I have to address the no Paypal issue!!!

ladyjewels,
It's actually not as close as that.
The longest dimension is the length (22 inches) . The girth is (22+18)+(22+18)=80. So, length + girth = 102.
edited to try to remove inadvertent winking face.

I have such a problem with this - I thought it was 4 x 22 = 88 + 18. Wow now I have room for padding. Thanks again.
