I have been posting on eBay's Community Booksellers' Forum for 4 years and have been pleased with response and participation. However, when I have had a Vendio usage situation, I have not been as rewarded. 1) What is best way to participate in this Forum? and 2) How do I get response from a specific situation such as: HOW DO YOU GET WINNING BIDDER TO USE VENDIO Checkout? Thank you. Chris

Good morning Chris , I do not use Vendio checkout but thought I'd welcome you aboard . We love to joke around a lot so be prepared . Many many super helpers here with years of knowledge that gladly share what they know . I've seen post on the checkout system so I'm sure someone will be along in a few mins.

I used to use the VD checkout via the redirect. But, if you do that then you cannot combine invoices on ebay. A little quirk. So, I stopped using it.

If you don't use Vendio checkout, how do you manage multiple sales at close of auction? Also, how do you manage your Customer Marketing system without the data from previous sales? What kind of follow-up marketing do you use? Thanks. Chris

I don't. At least 50% of eBay buyers utterly despise third party checkout systems and with good reason.
If you don't use Vendio checkout, how do you manage multiple sales at close of auction?
I don't recognize such a thing as a multiple sale, so that makes it easy. Each purchase from me is a separate transaction. I don't combine purchases for shipping. Never have, never will. To be fair to bidders, I state this policy about six or seven times in each auction.
Also, how do you manage your Customer Marketing system without the data from previous sales?
I offer my customers things I think they might want to buy.
What kind of follow-up marketing do you use?
I send them what they bought and an astonishing percentage return to buy more. Do I spam my customers? No sir, I do not.

thanks fluffthewondercat for your response. I didn't mean "combined" orders. I meant when you have several individual sales at the same time and want to be effecient with time. It's easier to just check the appropriate link Vendio offers and send customized end-of-auction emails. I have used Vendio systems and edited the notifications and resonses to personally reflect my terms and services. As I mentioned on another thread, I was a stock broker for over 20 years and in real estate before that and I always follow-ed up with customer service appropriate contact.
I asked permission of the customer as to whether they would be interested in receiving a quarterly update on similar product/items in their area of interest.
In any event, I HAD A WONDERFUL FLUFFY PERSIAN CAT for 17 years and sure do miss her. Any chance that you are the proud owner of a Persian or Himalayan cat? Even a Maine Coon? Chris

Oracle: Approx. how many sales are you averaging a week? I too don't use any checkout system, but at the most I have 40 sales a week, and I keep records on a small checklist stapled to the top of the first page of a completed auction (I only photocopy the first page). I know it sounds cumbersome and it would be for some of the big sellers; for me it works beautifully because it's all there for me to see immediately.

I invoice thru eBay but take advantage of Vendio's auto end of auction email to let my buyer know that an invoice thru eBay is forthcoming. I also provide them a link to my eBay store...etc.

Thanks again for responses. My sales are under 40 a week... more like 20 on eBay. However, part of my reason for using Vendio is to have a Customer Management system devoted to building a client base. Also, the use of end-of-auction follow-up would be wonderful if customer's could be enticed to use Checkout. Repeat customer business is the easiest way to advertise and also equals better sales and referrals. Well, with the above information at least I know it isn't me with the low use of Checkout.
