I have been staring at this punch cup off and on for a couple of years now. The style looks so familiar, but I can't place the manufacturer.

As long as the glass people are going to be here... can anyone reccommend a good book on Candlewick? i thought my mom had an absurd collection when I helped her pack until I helped her unpack and realized there was still more. Turns out there were three more boxes that she inherited from her aunt. There are some really neat pieces but again it's one of those things where there are five of these 7 of those. I would like to try to figure out what 9 different sizes of plates are supposed to go with or be for plus which punch cups go with which punch bowl (and settle the - those are coffee cups, no they are punch cups - arguement).
Also, can someone tell me if slight variations in size is inherant to Candlewick? My mothers family is from Belaire and they used to purchase direct from the factory (I knew they were from the area, never knew my great grandfther worked for Imperial until a couple weeks ago though). I know some of the items are "seconds", just have no idea how to figure out which ones.

There is a book with a title similar to " Candlewick, the crown jewell of Imperial" that is supposed to be the bible of Candlewick. I don't have it, but we have a couple of Gene Florence's books that fairly well covers Candlewick. I never get to excited about the value of any Candlewick I find, because my wife won't let me list it. She collects it, so she keeps any of it I find

Well that's no fun. Tell her she being a big meanie. I know what you mean though. My mother is almost as anti social as me and yet she insists that there may actually come a day when she will need 2 Candlewick punch bowls and a Cape Cod one as well. I don't think she knows 3 punch recipes, much less the 36 people the sets would serve
And don't even get me started on the need for 17 dinner plates....
Thanks for the heads up on the book. Hopefully it will help me fiigure out whats what.

I have Candlewick The Jewel Of Imperial Book 2, by Mary Wetzel. Published in 1995. It's much easier to use that any of Florence's books. There may be a newer addition out by now. If you have any of the rarer pieces, they do quite well.

The little button/dimple/raised portion on the bottom reminds me of Fenton Glass Co design. I've seen it on various Fenton pieces.
As I've suggested before, try showing it on the eBay pottery/glass discussion group. There are some realexperts there.
