This just started today. Whenever I go to the Ebay home page for the first time I get this error message that pops up in another box. Does anyone know what this means? I usually just click it closed and then go about my business but what I don't know is if there is something wrong at my end or is it something going on at Ebay?

I just had the same message appear also.
(And, no, I haven't clicked on any phisy emails.)
I don't know what's going on, but wanted to confirm that it's not just you.

Thanks for your reply, Melissafan100. You know what they say, misery loves company, although it doesn't really seem as though anything is really wrong with it. It's just that i've never seen this error message before today and I don't know what it means. And I didn't click any phishy emails either. They ain't gonna get me with one of those, i'm too shrewd or is that shrood for that to happen to me.

Hmm, I thought it was just me. It has been happening to me for 2 or 3 day's now. It does not happen on My ebay page, only when I go to the home page or one of the site map pages. Happens when every damn page opens. I don't even see the text though. I use Firefox with script and adblock and all I see is a breif flash of the text (not long enough to read) and the 1/2 window page is just blank but never finish's loading. I to have not clicked anything in any emails, run two firewalls, 4 anti-virus programs and run Mozilla Firefox. Did all the scans I can and have not found any nasties.
They say your memory's the second thing to go, I just can't remember what the first thing is.

My apologies. I'm also using firefox and I get 1/2 a page. I didn't think anything of it because I have a widescreen...Still it should have loaded up on the entire screen...duh.

It's a javascript error for one of the adds on the home page. Note that the times given are in MST. If it were on Ebay's end, the times would be in PST. If you live in the Mountain Time Zone, the error is originating with the java on your computer.
