Leastwise more than usual.

I state in my auctions that I prefer to ship to the USA.

I've been getting alot more than usual, questions from foreign bidders asking if I will ship to them. I always tell them that yes I will but the shipping costs will be 3 times the amount as listed in my auction.

Canada, Netherlands, Italy, Taiwan and Mexico. It's kinda funny the way they ask with their limited knowledge of the English language.

Here's one from an Italian; Pleas to ask schip Italy. Thanks to know me.

Lately, I too am getting lots of questions from foreigners--but not many bids. I think they go into sticker shock when I tell them what shipping will cost. And of course I worry that they're phishing, so as usual I answer them through My Ebay etc.

Yes me too. Getting more international bids also. Such a pain to ship their stuff but guess that goes with selling to international ppl. Think they have more money to spare than good ole USA economy.

Absolute #1 WORST POSTAL SYSTEM I've ever encountered has been...ITALIA

Absolute #1 NICEST, MOST CONSIDERATE BUYERS I've ever sold to have been...

I seem to get alot of Australian and UK buyers. Both have alway's been a pleasure dealing with. The only bad international experience I have ever had was a buyer from Germany.

Yippee there's a bidding war going on with two of my items. Can't tell if they're foreigners or not but who cares.

piinthesky - Easy way to see what country a bidder is from is to check their feedback page. In the top right corner of their feedback page it list the country they are registered in.

I love all the questions I am getting from "Foreigners" as most of them turn into really good sales.

I agree with the WORST POSTAL SYSTEM being Italy! We have sold several items to Italy and they do arrive eventually.

Most considerate in our book are also from Japan...they always want things sent Air Mail and be darned with the cost!

Australians are super too although shipping Surface has become a 4 month things so now we only ship Air Mail to there and that has lost us some buyers but I cannot face one more "Where's my stuff" email!

Anywhere in Scandinavia is great too in fact the only NPB we have had have been "Domestic" and by that I mean the USA and our own Canada.
Good and bad in every Country but 99.9% of people are great!

I don't really mind foreign bidders but i'd rather have to ship to USA bidders so I won't have extra paperwork to fill out.

On another note, I had won an auction that ended 1-16-06 from a seller in Canada and I just got the item today. I was patient and I guess the customs must have held it up at the border. They have very strict export laws in Canada when it's their bacon that's being shipped out of the country.

I haven't seen any ebay commercials lately. Maybe ebay is spending their ad budget overseas.

I have seen lots of "IT" commercials running during the Olympics, I am in Canada but have been watching the NBC coversge so I think that is where I have seen them.
I would rather they resolved their current tech nightmare before trying for new buyers!

1 billion dollars goes into China every month and in a year we are talking 12 billions.
Some Chinese are so rich they dont know what to do with their money and they want their antiques back .Chinese auction houses start the open bid at 2000 us dollars,so hold on to your Chinese antiques especially antique jade and porcelain.
