I saw this post in the SMME forum:
otteropp posted on February 23, 2006 05:14:10
PM What is happening to the font sizes?
When I listed my items the title of each item will be usually in a 18pt font.
I have just looked at some of my listings on EBay and they have changed to a tiny...either 8 or 10?
My Custom Text is also going down from a 14pt bold which is what I put in to a 10pt. when it gets to EBay.
These look awful. I have revised two of the listings in EBay but don't have time to do all of them.
Please advise.
I checked and about half of my listing's now have downsized title's. What's up with that??? What is weird is that it is only happening on some of my listing's. I checked a bunch of listing's I created and launched the same day and only about half of them have this "downsized" problem.
Curious to know if anyone else but us two is having this problem. You might want to check some of your listing's and check.

My store items that were listed 25 days ago have font so small you can barely read it. This started today and I emailed Ebay, but who knows when they will reply.
Why do they mess with things that are not "broken"?

Well I just did a little checking and this is no doubt a ebay problem and not vendio. I checked one of my auctions that did not have any bids and has the small title. I clicked on the Revise your item and when that screen pops up the title size is fine. I then clicked the edit description and checked the html code and the font size is correct in the html code. So it looks like ebay's html system is screwed up.

Several of mine have changed also. I launch everything from Vendio, and they were all O.K. when I checked as soon as they went live on Ebay. This has just happened today. It's definitely on Ebay's end.

!!!DON'T PANIC!!!
It's just eBay playing around with new css (cascading style sheets). They do this when they are bored and want to spice seller's lives up.

Mike, Thanks for posting our problem here.
Yes..the title font change is new but my Standard Custom Text sizing has been a problem for several weeks. I do it as a 14pt bold and it appears on EBay as I dunno..8 or 10pt?
I go in and revise as much as I can but just do not have the time to correct everyone else's mistakes ( I make enough of my own).
Okay...so what is our next step?
Should Vendio not be talking directly to EBay about this because we know that our individual voices won't be heard. We will be told to "Clear Cache & Cookies & do we know about their great new enhancement we can spend our money on"
Luckily I am going on vacation in two weeks ( the bidders seem to be already on vacation)so will not be listing any more for about a month but I would like all my current auctions looking better.

I noticed the small auction title inside the description this afternoon and thought I was seeing things. Haven't checked since.

I checked all of my auctions and no problems. I don't list through Vendio and use html made from Front Page.
Could it be a problem with the code the Vendio is sending ebay? Meaning a problem with ebay reading Vendio codes.

stone - My auctions were fine yesterday. This problem just started today. So I would think it is not vendio. If it was the problem would have happened when I launched my store listing's and auctions. Also as I stated earlier, if you try to revise the auction when you go to the revise description page the listing looks fine there and the html code is correct. Somehow ebay is not reading the code correctly (not a programmer by any means)???

Yes just checked some of my auctions and it is a problem between eBay and Vendio. It is just happening on the description title. My store listings which are done from eBay are fine. If any one has a store check your category listings. They should be all screwed up. Talked to eBay earlier and they know about it. Something to do with the category changes that are coming up with the so called 300 categories. They are all reading bold in my store and out of order. They have already changed the way you can set up categories in the store mangement section so this is going to happen any time and then eBay will really be screwed up.

Listen up people. It ain't nothing to do with Vendio. All blame must go to eBay.
There is an easy workaround (bullet-proof too) that savvy sellers can incorporate into their html code to prevent CSS hijacking. Let me know if anyone wants details posted again.

The problem doesn't end with the font size. My store is all screwed up. Categories that are supposed to be in alpha order and were yesterday, are not today. What a freakin' mess!

I noticed the same thing. I don't use vendio for listing auctions. I list mine manually through ebay. This isn't the first time I have seen this. Maybe they used some code that they had used a long time ago for something because the last time I saw this problem was almost a year ago. It eventually went away but it looks like it's back.

My closed listings are now showing the small font too and they were not showing small font yesterday.
I also noticed on one of the auctions that I won, the font is now small. Their auctions are hosted by Andale not Vendio.

Now a major problem with my Store. One whole Category has gone...poof!
I tried "Live/Dead Help" but got the "Wait times are long" message...I just bet they are. What a mess.
I wasn't suggesting earlier that it was Vendio's fault, I was suggesting that they have better access to the right people than we do.

Oh Yes! Glitches Galore!
Everytime I enter my store home page it shows a different (and inaccurate) number of items and is missing one or two categories. I hit refresh and it fixes...Oh yeah, I am sure every customer who enters the store refreshes to make sure all is okay...oh yeah...right...
Oh! And I understand from some of my customers that sold items are showing up as active and then reverting to sold again. Very odd.
And yes, my fonts are now all mini-font too.
They don't look horrible, but I sure would prefer it if they could be read easily by "mature" eyes like mine.
~~sigh~~
Ah well...if only this was the worst that life had to offer...
Nice we can come here and wallow in it though.
