McJane: I'd like a rubber stamp that's simply an outline I can use to create a label on a bubble envelope. Should print a line on all four edges, about 3 x 5. Do you have something like this? If you do, and you have more than one style, I'd love to see what's available. Thanks. ~Adele

not to take any business away from McJane but why don't you just make your own?
go to the craft store and look for compressed sponges. they are easy to cut out a design on with an exacto knife.
I've used them to decorate christmas ornaments with as a personalized gift at christmas.
I assume they would work as well with ink as they did with craft paint.
As a matter of fact, now that I'm thinking about it, I believe in the craft store on the same aisle they sell the stamps that you can buy foam material and make your own stamps.

Thanks, glassgrl. I'll wait to hear first from McJane, though, given that I'm basically lazy, there's no craft store in our town, and I'm not that adept at crafting.

Adele,
nothing even close to what you need in that size. I have more than a few hundred different stamps & do have lots of frames, but MUCH smaller that what your looking for.
The best I could offer is a secection of border stamps, but you would have to make 4 prints & it would make a square & wouldn't be 5" it's more like 3&1/2 x 3&1/3
You are welcome to look at what I have, just let me know. [email protected]
Not taking any business away from me glassgrl & that's a very good idea & probably the best way to go.

roadsmith - Let me see if I understand what you want. You basically want to print a 3x5 inch border box on a label, correct? Or do you want it directly on the bubble envelope? If you are going to do it on a label you could just create a border box with almost any graphics program, fill up the printer with your prefered labels and print out a stack of them to keep on hand. Would be easier then hand stamping them.

Mike: I ship books in bubble envelopes. I handwrite the name and address. I've been drawing a rough set of lines above and below that name and address but would like a stamp that I could then fill in right on the envelope, to look just a big spiffier. I don't mess with printing labels with my computer/printer, etc.
I could probably use a stamp smaller than 3 x 5--perhaps 2 x 4 or so. It may be a pipe dream.

Thanks, McJane. Appreciate your getting back to me. See my message to Mike, above.
I do have a small "label" stamp that I used to use on plain gift tags at Christmas, and I thought there must be something larger out there. I'll keep looking. The 3x5 idea may be larger than I need, and I'd probably have to get a bigger stamp pad for it to fit on, too. Hmmmmmm.

Ok, was a thought though. I did a quick search and found this company that makes custom stamps up to 3x5. Simon's Stamps
Might be just what your looking for.

Damn, that was to easy. I went back into the Simmons website and ended up ordering 6 custom stamps for myself. They have a super easy to use website. You create your custom stamp online and can even upload your own graphic to use on the stamp. Good prices for a custom made stamp to if you ask me. Ordered 6 custom wood handle stamps, 2 ink pads and two bottles of ink and was just under $80.00. See what you made me go and do roadsmith

Thanks, Mike. I've gone into that site, and fiddled with it a bit, will go back to it later when I have more time. I got as far as "border," bogged down at that point because Simon seemed to want me to have a graphic or words in the box, and I don't want any! Funny. I'll look at it again and maybe ask for their help on this. It's a very nifty site.
