If I remember correctly the final bid last time was over $27,000 and judging by the questions and replies the reserve was $30,000 or more.

No it ended at $23,350.00.
The orginal post was "Someone's having a good week" a few items down. I think that's why I was thinking it was $25,000. A lot of money for a beer can either way.

Relisting this item at $25,000 opening bid has got to be one of the DUMBEST selling strategies I have seen in a long, long time.

A smart seller would capitalize on all the attention this item got the first time around. An even smarter seller would contact those media outlets that haven't carried the story yet. A downright inspired seller would then start the can at 99 cents no reserve and allow every beer can collector in America a shot at it.

Auctions are all about fantasy, folks, particularly when there are rare or one-of-a-kind items on offer. By allowing open bidding, the seller would have given untold pleasure to hundreds, maybe thousands of people by letting them dream a little bit. It's clear from the comments on this auction that some people are feeling gypped by the high opening bid.

This idiot of a seller doesn't seem to get that just because it only went to $23-thousand-something last time doesn't mean that there hasn't been FAR more attention focused on the item since then and that repeating the auction -- even with a reserve -- would make tons more sense than opening it at $25,000.

This seller does not know how to sell. If it gets one bid, it'll be a miracle or a sport bidder.

ME--I would have taken the 23 thousand and gone on vacation for about 3 months. Guess this guy places a very high value either meet it or don't get it. Willing to put on shelf to gather dust than take what I would consider ok funds. OH well takes all kinds I guess.

I find it amusing the guy is starting it at $25k, but can't throw in free shipping!! The poor guy needs the $4.05 for priority shipping.....I can picture his silly looking invoice now!...
