Last week, when I clicked on the link for www.bidpay.com, it took me to bidpay.com where it showed that news release. A few days later, I tried the same link and it diverted me to www.cybersource.com where it showed a message guaranteeing that they would honor all the privacy agreement provisions of Bidpay. Tonight, when I clicked on the bidpay link, it took me to a secure site, https://www.auctionpayments.com. Not much new on that page, but the fact that it now connects to a secure site with that name indicates that something is happening at a rapid pace behind the scenes.

Hey! Sparky! GOTO http://www.bidpay.com/ now, and ya get this interesting tidbit:
"On March 3, 2006, CyberSource Corporation purchased all the outstanding stock of BidPay.com, Inc. from First Data Corporation. CyberSource was informed about your privacy elections in connection with that purchase and is contractually required to honor those elections consistent with BidPay's privacy policies and applicable law.
BidPay was shut down on December 15, 2005 and, to the best of CyberSource's knowledge, all pending transactions through December 15, 2005 were processed. BidPay is NOT YET IN OPERATION, but we hope to re-launch the service sometime this summer. Until the service is re-launched, we will not be able to respond to specific questions about the BidPay service or transactions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
WARNING: DO NOT ACCEPT OR SUBMIT PAYMENTS THROUGH A SERVICE PURPORTING TO BE BIDPAY OR AUCTIONPAYMENTS.COM.
Any payments purportedly involving use of the BidPay service after December 15, 2005 are fraudulent. We have recently learned that there are scams targeting eBay sellers, often involving the shipment of goods to Nigeria or Lagos. If you have been involved in a transaction involving the payment of goods via BidPay, please contact your local law enforcement authority."
